We have fixed an issue with the value on blur in Rad Input that may be the same as you are facing.
A follow-up to my previous answer: Validation occurs in the onchange event, rather than the onblur.
onchange fires when the focus is lost AND the control value has changed.
Thus you would avoid preselecting the first item of the Drop Down List Items Collection, like demonstrated in this video.
I think the problem may be by Ajax Panel, when i put the button in side the panel it doesn't validate When i bring the button outside, it validate (but it validate only the first time, the next time i click the button, it still not validate) aspx: Hi Nguyen, What version of Rad Controls are you using, and did you tried with the latest service pack?
I think you want to use something more like Validation Expression="^[^.
To do so, enter some text in the textbox, tab away, tab back to it, clear the textbox, then tab away once more.Does anyone know if there is a bug with the validator controls? There seems to be a problem with this and the static value does not appear unless you submit the page. Both "Text" and "Error Message" are only shown after an error-check (on submit for instance).I am trying to display the static text as soon as the page is loaded in the browser. If you have a validation summary, then the "Error Message" is shown in that summary, the "Text" is always shown on the position of the validator.Actually, that's all we need to test the most basic part of the Required Field Validator. Validation is only performed serverside if necessary!I'm sure that all the attributes of the controls makes sense by now, so I won't go into details about them. You should see something like this: If your browser supports Java Script, which most modern browers do, then you will notice that the page is not being posted back to the server - the validation is performed clientside! To see how it feels, you can add enableclientscript="false" to the Required Field Validator and try again. Now you will see the browser posting back to the server, but the result will be the same - the validator still works!
